I have another In the Spotlight post coming at you today, only this time we're literally in the spotlight as we take a look at my highlighter collection! It's about to get LOUIS LITT up in here! I've been meaning to do this post for a while and I think I'm pretty happy with my current collection. The Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Glow Kit is calling my name though... but alas, here we are at the moment! I've tried to organise them by colour family for best comparison. I'll also try to be brief but we could be in for a long one!

THE CHAMPAGNE BEIGES //
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Pearl
I have a set of three of these liquid highlighters and I love them! They are the most natural, dewy looking highlighters I own. They don't have an overt shimmer/glitter or metallicness to them, the give a natural, sweaty (in a good way) glow. I don't use Pearl often, purely because it doesn't really suit me that much. It's a white highlighter with a silver shift, it almost looks blue-toned!
The highlighter included in this palette is natural and subtle. The shimmer is very fine and it isn't crazy blingy or glittery which I really enjoy for everyday! It's a very natural looking colour too - a subtle nude-beige.
This is my only ColourPop highlighter but I really like the formula. It's a cushiony cream-powder formula (I go more in depth in my review). Essentially, it applies like a cream and melds into the skin really well, but looks more like a powder and isn't wet or glowy in a creamy way. It can give a really shiny highlight though! Lunch Money is a nude-beige shade but with a slightly more silver tone to it.
Essence Shimmer Powder in Bella's Secret
Man we are throwing it back with this product! This was the first real highlighter I bought and it was limited edition so there's really no point in me featuring it, but it's in my collection so I gotta show it! This is a really nice highlighter, and for the price you can't beat it! It has a similar look to the Rimmel one in that is has a refined shimmer that is natural and not overly blingy. It's a beige shade with a more gold undertone.
The OG highlighter! There's a reason this highlighter was (and still is) so popular. The formula is so creamy and gorgeous and the sheen is quite strong but again, no intense or obvious shimmer or glittery bits. The shade is super flattering too, a slightly gold-toned champagne shade.
This one veers into the pinky-champagne family, but it's still more of a nude highlighter on me. We also start to get into the more intense metallic highlighters here too. I love the formula though, it really brings the glow, but again still not too intense provided you don't apply too much!

THE GOLDS //
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Gold
I think this shade was exclusive to the set I have, but honestly you're not missing out on much. I pretty much never use this because I find the colour to be a bit too yellow for my liking!
Vani-T Diamond Dust in Moon & Stars*
You can't really tell in my swatch but this is probably the most glittery of my highlighters. While it's intensely shimmery, it doesn't give a crazy metallic sheen like some of my other highlighters. It does, however, contain those discernable glitter particles. The colour is really pretty though, it's one of those white-gold slightly duochromatic highlighters - NARS Albatross comes to mind!
Kiko Water Shadow in 208
This is technically an eye shadow, but everyone was raving about it being a dupe for MAC Whisper of Gilt. It's a stunning gold highlighter though and so beautiful on the cheeks. It's definitely one if the intense metallic ones!
This shade featured in the holiday cheek palette from last year. Not my favourite because I find the formula to be a bit chunky and dry, and it has glittery bits in it. It's a very wearable beige-gold shade though.
Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminiser
While the Becca liquid highlighters are more subtle and natural, this one's definitely more intense and metallic. It's seriously gorgeous though! I will say though the formula is a little less workable, it dries a bit more quickly so blend as soon as you apply! It's a stunning bronze-toned gold!
I think this still stands as my favourite highlighter. It's just so darn gorgeous and flattering on me! It's really intense but thankfully is never glittery or chunky - the shimmer is just a gorgeous metallic sheen. It's a warm peachy-gold which is so flattering on my skintone.

THE ROSE GOLD BRONZES //
Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips in Warm Nude
This swatch is just me mixing all the shades together evenly, but the beauty of this product is that you can customise the shade however you like. I tend to stick to the slightly lighter shades and avoid those three in the bottom right. I usually get a really pretty bronzey, pink-toned highlighter. The formula is really soft and creamy and a good middle ground between natural and intense.
Technically a bronzer, but again it has a few different shades you can sort of customise. I mix them all together and get a gorgeous bronzey soft highlighter. I can't describe it but it gives such a gorgeous like beachy bronze luminous glow. So pretty!
Topshop Glow Pot in Gleam
One of my only proper cream highlighters. I really like this one. It's intense in the shimmer department but also gives a gorgeous glowy sheen due to the cream formula. It's quite a dark bronzey copper shade that is really pretty.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal
My favourite of the three I have, Opal is a really pretty rose gold champagne shade that is so flattering on me!
Wet n Wild Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals
This has quickly become one of my favourite highlighters - and it's so affordable! It's such a pretty pinky rose gold and is so flattering. The formula is a stunner too, again not too intense but gives a gorgeous metallic glow.
I'd consider this to be more of a blush topper - certainly a blush on fair skintones. I would say Cindy-Lou is not as glowy/shimmery as Mary-Lou, but it still gives a really pretty glow to the skin. The colour is so unique - it's like a pale peachy-pink but it almost has a slight lilac duochrome shift to it. Very pretty and very unique!
So there we have my highlighter collection! Like I said, I'm pretty content and feel like I have everything I'd need. But...if you have any recs, feel free to throw them my way ;)
